Job Summary / Job Purpose

The IT Project Coordinator oversees the planning an implementation of approved IT projects with emphasis on acquisitions.  Ensures projects meet budget, schedule and scope requirements.  Collaborates closely with IT resources and Medical Group clinical staff, providers, and leadership.


Essential Functions
 

·         Ensures successful delivery of IT deliverables by serving as primary IT liaison for acquisition activities

  • Assures deliverables are achieved in terms of timelines, quality, and budget
  • Works with IT resources, vendors and KMG leaders to identify data issues and risks related to Informatics activities, planning, optimization, and training.
  • Submits timely reports of project progress and resource deployment
  • Monitors project linkages, dependencies and enablers
  • Assures appropriate use of resources within approved budgets
  • Communicates proactively with all parties involved in projects
  • Travels as required to coordinate projects
  • Manages risks associated with projects in conjunction with KMG and CHI resources
  • Provides feedback on project learnings for use in improving future projects and processes
  • Coordinates post-project audits
  • Interfaces with internal staff across required groups
  • Attends meetings and presents as required
  • Promotes a positive and professional work environment
 


Job Requirements / Qualifications
 

Education / Accreditation / Licensure (required & preferred):

  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 1 year healthcare IT experience OR
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in IT project leadership role  in the discipline     
 

Experience (required and preferred):

  • Project management (required)
  • Implementation of at least one Clinical Informatics systems (required)
  • Presentation skills (required)
  • Regulatory submission knowledge and/or experience (preferred)
