 Essential Key Job Responsibilities



1.     Prepare all sterile IV admixtures, irrigations, chemotherapy, TPN, etc


2.     Maintains proper stock levels of drugs and supplies


3.     Complies with USP 795, 797 and 800 regulations


4.     Delivers, distributes and stores medications


5.     Completes assigned Date checking


6.     Refills automated dispensing machines and robot


7.     Labels all products including barcodes according to policy


8.     Follows appropriate procedures for handling of controlled substance


9.     Relates well and has good communication skills with staff, patients, and visitors.  Maintains confidentiality


10.  Computer proficiency


11.  Other duties as assigned by management







Minimum Qualifications

Required Education for Staff Job Levels

Successful completion of an American society of health systems pharmacists accredited academic program  OR an American society of health systems pharmacists accredited on-the-job training program.

Required Licensure and Certifications

PTCB Certification (General) and Licensed as a ND Pharmacy Technician as required by the ND State Board of Pharmacy.  Must maintain annual registration in ND and complete the required hours of Pharmacy Technician continuing education.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Computer proficiency, good communication skills

PREFERRED Qualifications

PTCB certification (IV)
