Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Pass oral and/or written language proficiency exam

Highly skilled in all Microsoft office products

Ability to work in a variety of healthcare settings

Can set priorities in demanding situations, communicate priorities and assist with problem solving to achieve results

Successful completion of: Medical Terminology Class within 6 months of hire

40 hour introductory interpreting class within 1 year of hire

CCHI or NBCMI National Certification (if available for language) within 3 years of hire

PREFERRED Qualifications

Prior medical interpreting and/or translating experience

Prior call center experience
Prior customer service experience

Prior experience with an electronic health record

Bachelor’s degree in languages, interpretation/translation or healthcare related field
