The Billing Specialist is responsible for the billing, collection and payment resolution of all outstanding A/R amounts due from patients, governmental and third party payers.  They are also responsible for day to day accounting and monthly financial reporting of Non-patient AR & Revenues and Intercompany AR, as well as assisting the Controller with projects as needed.

  • Demonstrates a commitment to service, organization values and professionalism through appropriate conduct and demeanor at all times.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Education:

Minimum of an Associate’s degree in business, finance, or accounting required.  Bachelor’s degree preferred. Three to five years of related experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Experience: 

Minimum two years recent experience in billing and basic accounting skills required.  Knowledge of Government and Commercial payers billing requirements.  Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPC codes and medical terminology.  Must have computer skills and knowledge of alphanumeric keyboard.  Use of 10 key calculators.
