Our Histotechnologists play a huge role in supporting Pathologists and healthcare team members in determining the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Our patients rely on their skills and expertise in supporting their healthcare needs and we want to add more talent to our already incredible team of histotechnicians/histotology technicians. If you have a passion for histology, we want to talk to you!


What you’ll do:

  • Receive patient tissue and cytology specimens which are processed and prepped for review by the pathologist for histopathological diagnosis including fixation, microtomy, processing, staining, histochemistry, and immunohistochemistry (IHC).
  • Prepare and evaluate stains, reagents, and solutions necessary for slide prep
  • Set-up and ensure proper functioning of equipment and instruments for specific laboratory procedures

Requirements:

  • Bachelors or Associates degree and completion of a NAACLS accredited Histotechnology/ Histotechnician program
  • Certification as a Histotechnologist, Histotechnician, HT or HTL by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP)
  • 1-3 years of full time experience in a clinical histopathology laboratory
