MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

·     High school diploma or GED required.

·     Completion of 75-hour or 120-hour Certified Nursing Assistant Program or a minimum of one semester of nursing school. 

·     Must be on State C.N.A. Registry (If not enrolled in Nursing school)

·     Previous hospital experience preferred.

·     Work requires the interpersonal skills necessary to comfort patients, their families and/or significant others; and to communicate effectively with co-workers and physicians.

·     Work requires the analytic ability necessary to prioritize own workload.

·     Basic Life Support certified within six (6) weeks of hire.  Acceptable credentialing bodies and certifications include American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.

·     Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served within three (3) months of hire.

·     Ability to read, write and speak English language.
