 The purpose of this position is to coordinate student recruitment and admission activities for applicants. The position will serve as a resource, providing information on College programs to interested applicants.

  


 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

Researches, determines, plans, and implements on and off-campus recruitment with high schools, colleges, and healthcare facilities within assigned territory. Participates in events to raise awareness of the College and/or specific academic programs. Maintains relationships with prospective students and applicants. 

  

• Counsels prospective students and applicants regarding College admissions policies and procedures, program admission requirements and procedures, and prerequisite course requirements and equivalences

 

• Ensures students meet College and/or program admission requirements by evaluating high school transcripts, college transcripts, and/or test scores.

Assists students with developing individual program specific curriculum plans.

 

• Monitors, assesses, prepares and reports on admissions funnel trends for students from within assigned territory ensuring enrollment targets are met or exceeded.

 

• Supports the Financial Aid Office by providing information about options and resources for funding.


• Assists with duties to support student recruitment activities.

  

• Performs other duties as assigned

 

 

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:  

 

Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.


• Valid and current Iowa driver’s license.

 

• Ability to work weekends and evenings.

 

• Ability to travel overnight.

 

• Strong interpersonal, oral, written and presentation communication skills.

 

• Excellent attention to detail.

 

• Two years’ experience in admissions and/or a higher education environment preferred.

 

• Master’s degree preferred.
