Minimum Qualifications:

Education Level

Required: Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)

Licensure/Certification

·         Texas Registered Nurse License

·         BLS

·         NRP within 6 months of hire/transfer

·         S.T.A.B.L.E. course preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

·         Effective Communication

·         Knowledge of the principles and skills needed for practical nursing to provide patient care and treatment.

·         Critical thinking skills

·         Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills both written and verbal

·         Basic Computer skills – familiarity with Windows based software program. 

Experience

Required:  Level 1 Newborn Nursery

Preferred: Level II, III, or IV NICU
