    • The Director of Physician Development promotes and develops both internal and external referral systems for SJMG, connecting local resident to SJMG physicians and coordinating specialty and diagnostic referrals to expedite quality of care. This position serves as the liaison in promotional efforts to grow SJMG practice volumes, coordinates the day-to-day communication needs of SJMG and supports quality improvement and quality assurance activities within the practices.

      • Required: Bachelor's degree in Business or related field

    • Experience
      • Required: 7 years of experience in health care operations, with at least 4 years working with direct physician contact. Experience in Principles of Quality Management and Process Improvement. Experience in professional development and leadership.
      • Preferred:  Experience in physician practice management, education and development, marketing and/or physician referral processes
    • Skills
      • Required: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. A solid understanding of physician practice operations and proven organizational skills.

    • Licensure/Certifications
      • Responsible for all aspects of provider recruiting.
      • Conducts necessary clinic provider and staff customer training.
      • Completes tasks related to physician rounding and retention.
      • Manage patient satisfaction task force.
      • Responsible for physician compensation.
      • Responsible for physician employment contracts.
      • Manages the contract process.
      • Manages systems such as Healthstream, and Health Grades.
      • Owns several aspects of the Physician Practice promotion process including, coordinating with internal and external sources to drive patient volumes to SJPA clinics, specifically new providers.

      • Manage distribution of Patient Experience reports.
      • Oversee and coordinate meeting of SJMG Alignment Room.

      • Performs other duties as assigned to meet the organization`s needs.
