      • Required: Two years Experience as In-Charge Paramedic on 911 service.
      • Preferred: Three years experience in EMS supervisor; experience in DSHS regulations in pre-hospital services.

      • Required: Texas Certified Paramedic; CPR, ACLS and PALS certification.
      • Preferred; Certified EMS Instructor
      • Operations Manager
        • Provides patient care functions as outlined in PARAMEDIC position description?
        • Mandatory education - 100% attendance/participation
        • Participate in Run Reviews within standards established by the Medical Director
        • Positive public image
        • Appropriate communications with all staff
        • Oversees Shift Supervisor staff in ensuring staff and system provides patient care functions according to protocol, procedure and written directives.
        • Provides 24hr contact for Duty supervisors for assistance in department problem solving concerns.
        • Oversees Fleet Mechanic in department, tracking maintenance needs for the EMS vehicles and assistance for the Systems Fleet needs as well.
        • Oversees the Communication department for daily operations, and assisting will equipment, and SOP issues.
        • Oversees the Training officer in the development and implementation of the departments training program(s) to assure skill level and knowledge base of staff.
        • Oversees the QA/QI in assuring quality control review is in place, and meets state, Medical Direction, and Hospital requirements. Provided secondary review of a documented procedure, or lack of.
        • Attends seminars, education and association(s) functions as required
        • Assist the training coordinator in the development, and revisions initial employee training to assure competency prior to placement.
        • Reviews all documentation procedures for patient charting, and confirms department stays within industry standards for both medical/legal purposes.
        • Oversees the department is meeting all hospital/state mandatory requirements for operations.
        • Acts as departments lead investigator into any issue that requires more review then duty supervisor can perform. Complies and presents finalized report with action summary for Director review.
        • Reports and documents problems to Director immediately

        • • Manages/Oversees staff scheduling and payroll
        • • Maintains OT restrictions for the department
        • • Oversees communication equipment expense
        • • Manages/Oversees purchasing and supply
        • • Oversees expenditures
        • • Reviews data to assure proper utilization of resources and expenditures
      • Provision of Services
        • Treats all individuals compassionately and with reverence, regardless of medical complaint, or lack thereof, or any other presenting socioeconomic conditions.
        • Assists others when possible
        • Immediately responds to requests for services
        • Handles complaints of service appropriately, involving necessary departments
      • Safety/Environmental
        • Assure safety conditions of work area in accordance with established policies
        • Maintains office areas (cleaning and repairing) as required and/or directed
    • OTHER
      • Performs other duties as assigned to meet the organization`s needs.
