  • Current RN license issued by the state of Oregon is required.
  • Current BLS required within 30 days of hire, ACLS within 3 months of hire.
  • Additional units in which the applicant holds competency each require the following additional certifications:
    • Heart Center: Arrhythmia certification
    • ED: Arrhythmia certification, PALS or ENPC, TNCC or TEAM
    • Pediatrics: PALS
  • Possessing any of the following would be a preference for this position:
    • PCU: PCCN
  • Applicants must hold competency in the Medical and Surgical units as well as one additional unit (ATC, Heart Center, ICU, PCU, ED or Pediatrics).
  • Possessing Surgical, Orthopedic experience would be a preference for this position.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
  • Graduate from an accredited Nursing program.

The 25-bed Mercy Hospital was dedicated on Feb. 22, 1909, just four months after construction began. It was built on the banks of the South Umpqua River where the Douglas County Health Department currently stands.
